Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before getting Road Ready.

1. What do I need to rent a vehicle?

You’ll need a valid driver’s license, an accepted payment method, and the information required to complete our driver and identity verification process. Additional requirements, including insurance-related information, may apply to your reservation.

2. How do I book a vehicle?

It’s simple: Choose your ride → Select your dates → Get verified → Book & pay → Get Road Ready.

Start by checking availability online and selecting the vehicle and rental dates that work for you.

3. Is a security deposit required?

Yes, a security deposit may be required. Your applicable deposit amount will be shown during the reservation process before your rental is completed.

4. When will I get my security deposit back?

After your vehicle is returned and the return process is completed, any remaining refundable deposit will be released or refunded according to the applicable payment-processing procedures. Your bank or card provider may require additional processing time.

5. Do you offer daily, weekly and extended rentals?

Yes. Road Ready offers flexible rental periods based on vehicle availability. Whether you need a vehicle for a few days, a week, or longer, check availability for your desired dates.

6. Do Road Ready rentals include unlimited mileage?

Rentals designated as Unlimited Mileage do not have a standard mileage allowance or per-mile overage charge. All other terms and restrictions of your rental still apply.

7. Can I use a Road Ready vehicle for gig work?

Road Ready offers rentals that may be designated for permitted gig use. Only vehicles and reservations specifically authorized for gig use may be used for rideshare, delivery, or similar services.

Drivers remain responsible for meeting the requirements of their applicable gig platform and insurance coverage.

8. Is insurance available?

Optional rental insurance may be available through an authorized third-party insurance provider during booking. Coverage, eligibility, pricing, limits, deductibles and exclusions are determined by the insurance provider and applicable coverage documents.

9. Can someone else drive my rental?

Only drivers specifically authorized under your rental agreement may operate the vehicle. Any additional driver must complete Road Ready’s applicable requirements and be approved before driving.

10. Can I extend my rental?

Extensions may be available depending on vehicle availability and your rental status. Request an extension before your scheduled rental period ends.

An extension is not confirmed until it has been approved by Road Ready.

11. What happens if I’m late returning the vehicle?

Contact Road Ready as soon as possible if you expect to be late. Unapproved late returns may result in applicable charges under your Rental Agreement.

Keeping the vehicle longer does not automatically extend your reservation.

12. What should I do if I have an accident or problem with the vehicle?

Make safety your first priority. Contact emergency services when appropriate and notify Road Ready promptly.

For mechanical issues, contact Road Ready before continuing to drive if the vehicle may be unsafe or continued operation could cause additional damage. Follow the accident, damage and reporting requirements provided with your rental.
